Cryptic Wintermoon es una banda de Melodic Black Metal de Alemania que fue formada en 1993 por ex-miembros de la banda Black Prophecies. La primera formación del grupo consistía en Bernd Seeberger en vocales y teclados, Marek Karakasevic en batería, Christian Reichel en bajo y voces de apoyo y Larsen Beattie en guitarra. Sus temas tratan principalmente sobre guerra y anti-religión. Actualmente son una banda activa y su alineación actual la forman: Ronny Dörfler (voz y teclado), Larsen Beattie (guitarra), Michael Schüger (guitarra), Nikolaj Rüster (bajo), Andreas Schmidt (batería) y Andrea Walther (teclados)
